Terms of Service
Welcome to Bahrain Fiber Connect. By accessing and using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. This agreement outlines the legal relationship between Bahrain Fiber Connect and its users regarding our fiber optic internet solutions, business connectivity packages, and residential broadband services.
1. Service Definitions and Scope
"Bahrain Fiber Connect," "we," "our," or "us" refers to the website operator and internet service provider located at Building 123, Road 123, Manama, Bahrain. "User," "you," or "customer" refers to any individual or entity accessing our website, registering for services, or utilizing our fiber optic connectivity solutions.
Our services include fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) connectivity for residential properties, dedicated leased lines for corporate clients, and managed network solutions. These terms govern all service tiers, promotional offers, and hardware installation agreements. By initiating service registration, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and possess the legal authority to enter into binding contracts.
2. Account Registration and Security
To access our services, you must create an account using accurate, current, and complete information. This includes your legal name, valid contact number (+973 1712 3456), email address, and physical service address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
Bahrain Fiber Connect employs industry-standard encryption for data transmission; however, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breaches. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate our security protocols.
3. Service Availability and Performance
While we strive for 99.9% network uptime, service availability may be affected by maintenance, upgrades, or unforeseen technical issues. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated at least 48 hours in advance via email and account dashboard notifications. Business continuity clients receive priority notification and redundant failover options.
Actual connection speeds depend on your chosen plan, network congestion, and hardware capabilities. Speeds advertised are "up to" maximum theoretical values. During peak hours (18:00-23:00), residential users may experience reduced throughput due to shared bandwidth architecture. Corporate dedicated lines maintain committed information rates regardless of network load.
4. Payment Terms and Billing
Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance on the 1st of each calendar month. Installation fees for new connections are one-time charges due before service activation. Late payments incur a 2% penalty per day after the 5th day of the month. Equipment rental fees (ONT devices, routers) are included in monthly residential plans but may be separate for enterprise solutions.
Refunds are processed for overpayments or service outages exceeding 24 consecutive hours, calculated on a pro-rated basis. Contract termination fees apply for early cancellation of promotional 12 or 24-month agreements. All prices are quoted in Bahraini Dinars (BHD) and exclude applicable VAT.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
Our services must be used for lawful purposes only. Prohibited activities include: running unauthorized commercial servers, hosting illegal content, copyright infringement, distribution of malware, or attempting to breach network security. Residential plans prohibit hosting public-facing websites or database services without a business license.
Bandwidth allocation is subject to fair use policies. Excessive consumption that impacts network stability may result in traffic shaping or temporary rate limiting. Peer-to-peer file sharing is permitted during off-peak hours (00:00-06:00) but restricted during daytime to ensure quality of service for all users. Violations may result in immediate service suspension without refund.
6. Limitation of Liability
Bahrain Fiber Connect shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including loss of data, business interruption, or revenue loss due to service interruptions beyond our reasonable control. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount paid by the customer for services during the preceding three-month period.
7. Modification of Terms
